Autumn favourites.

If you didn’t know, you sure will by the end of this, I LOVE AUTUMN. In fact I love autumn/winter. I really do appreciate the UK and it’s change of seasons. Christmas in Australia, on the beach . . NO THANK YOU. I love the trees turning orange, hot chocolates, blankets, bobble hats, knee high boots, berry lipsticks, conkers (I get a bit wild when I see a conker), fireworks, dark nights, fires . . okay the list is endless.

My birthday is 3 days after Christmas and even though I’m verging on 25 I still act like an 8 year old child when it comes to birthdays. I’m telling you from 1st October the countdown is ON (88 days to be exact). My love of Christmas, combined with my birthday only makes me love the dark months even more! Here are some of my autumn/winter favourites that make me that little bit more excited as the nights are drawing in . . .

Candles. At the moment I am loving these two as they both remind me of our wedding day! The Jo Malone ‘Pomegranate Noir’ was a beautiful wedding gift (the lid was engraved with the date and our married name) and the Yankee Candle ‘Wedding Day’ was given to me on the morning of our wedding.

Hot drinks (preferably Starbucks with the super cute autumn cups). I love decaf skinny lattes (classic but simple kinda gal), hot chocolates or a pumpkin spiced lattes (obvs! Autumn in a cup!)

Getting wrapped up. I love layers! Maybe this dates back to the days of being on the chub side of life and hating summer clothes but give me a bobble hat, thick jumper & a coat anyday!! (Hat from Noughts & Kisses, Jumper from Primark, Jeans from New Look & boots from Kurt Geiger)

Winter coat. Isn’t it like the law to purchase a new coat every winter!? I spend hours and hours searching for the perfect coat and I won’t stop until I find it. I fall in love and can’t imagine ever wearing a different coat . . . until next year when I bin it off and start looking for a new one! I am a coat lover. This one is from Zara and I am a little bit obsessed.

Shoes. It’s really awkward transitioning from sandals and dolly shoes to big clompy boots because we all know the rules in October *freezing in the morning . . warm in the afternoon*!! That is why Iurrrrrrve these shoes from Dune. They are my ride or die’s. Ask Danny. Everytime I wear them he says ‘oh are they new shoes haven’t seen those before’. Sarcastic toad. I did get them in the sale and they have now sold out but do.not.fret. Emma saves the day. I found an almost identical pair here from Matalan for the bargain price of £16! (p.s. I paid £30 for mine in the sale . . fuming)

Berry lips. I love a dark lip (then I can pretend I’m Zoella)

Hi Em, you almost had me welcoming Autumn with this post! I wrote a pretty similar one about loving summer back in April! I am the opposite to you but the fashions and lippies have got me like “Oh hi Autumn” *waves coyly*

Haha believe it or not, I’ve only had that time off for the past 2 years! I think it’s because of feeling the cold so badly (even in summer I wear slippers) I have terrible circulation which is painful! And had an accident on ice so hate the ice! When we were kids; my mum n sister used to play outside building snowmen n throwing snowballs n I used to sit inside on the radiator watching n refusing to join them! I’ve always been this way strangely! Xx

Fab blog again, I love reading these. I’m a winter baby myself (Jan 15th) I love Autumn/Winter. I love it even more when it snows & You’re able to watch it from the window with the fire on & a hot drink & snug in a blankie, makes winter that bit more magical.
I do love beach holidays too though, our summers aren’t exactly great so it’s nice to get away in some proper heat.
I look forward to your professional wedding pics
