Mini Beauty Haul

I’m a sucker for all things beauty as I’m sure most of us are these days because the beauty industry has just got bigger and bigger! I’m a Boots kinda gal through and through, I worked there from the age of 17 up until I was 22, it’s literally my favourite shop! So when I saw they had their 3 for 2 on make up I couldn’t resist (despite really not having any spare money this money, woooops)

Some of the things I picked up are my holy grails but some are newbies for me to try out!

Now foundation . . Where do I even begin, it’s the never ending search to find a foundation to make you look like a flawless goddess and I can openly admit I’ve tried them all (well nearly!!) From Mac studio fix, Estee Lauder Double Wear, Nars Sheer Glow to Rimmel Stay Awake, Revlon Colourstay and L’oreal true match these are just a handful of ones I’ve tried over the years. But I can honestly say this Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation has become my ride or die! For me it’s perfect . . it’s not too glowy, not too matte, not to heavy but just the right amount of coverage (I’m not about this ‘no make up’ make up look at the same time I’m not about the heavy foundation look). This is my 3rd bottle and I can’t see me finding anything I love as much as this anytime soon! Plus it’s £9.99! I do love high end products but do you know what I love more . . Paying under £10 for something I put on my face everyday!

Another golden oldie! This mascara is my best friend! I’ve used this one for about 5 years now and I just can’t find one that compares to it! I hate plastic brushes as they clump my eyelashes together, this mascara has soft bristles so it adds volume and length but never makes my lashes look like spiders! Retails at £6.99

I’ve used a lot of Real Technique brushes before and I just love them all so I bought this sculpting brush to use for cream contouring, not something I do everyday but will for a night out . . I have my work make up routine down to a tight 20 minutes now and there’s no way I’m sacrificing my sleep for ‘slimmer cheekbones’!! Retails at £9.99

As with the sculpting brush I have never used these sponges before so I thought I would try these from Real Techniques as I’ve heard great things about them to apply your foundation and concealer. Retails at£9.99 for two.

Since the fashion that was super thin tadpole eyebrows in 2003 I have been attempting to grow my brows back! I recently starting getting HD brows for the run up to the wedding and it is amazing and they have been shaped to grow back in a certain way. They are growing back but very very slowly! One thing I have noticed though is how much better they look when they are tinted so in between my appointments (every 6 weeks) I am going to give this Eyelure dye kit a go! Retails at £7.49

As previously mentioned in my Autumn favourites I love a dark lip for winter so I picked up this Revlon lipstick in ‘Black Cherry’ which was £7.99 as I heard it’s a great dupe for Charlotte Tilbury’s ‘Glastonberry’ which retails for £23!

As I mentioned above all these items were on 3 for 2 so it was a great excuse to purchase some new goodies! And finally after watching Sarah Ashcroft on YouTube ‘That Pommie Girl’ I purchased this LA girl concealer in beautiful bronze from Amazon to use as a cream contour which she used in a recent tutorial as it looks amazing! Retails at £3.10

Let me know if you have any ‘drugstore’ favourites too!

Love Em, xo
