Baby Shower

I don’t know what it is, but being pregnant has made me awful at blogging! I initially started my blog the day I got back from our honeymoon to fill the void of wedding planning! What was I actually going to do with my life now it was all over? Maybe I should have just kept quiet because within less than a year of getting married we have also bought our first home and very soon we’ll be joined by our little girl! We don’t do things by halves do we! So that’s my terrible excuse . . I created this blog to fill my time, have a little hobby & just enjoying writing . . but it seems since then I made my life rather hectic (in a very good way!) so have hardly blogged at all!!

On Saturday it was my baby shower! I can’t say I ever wanted a baby shower before I got pregnant however as my pregnancy went on I really warmed to the idea! So I left it in the very capable hands of my Mum and Sister (who previously pulled off two insane hen do’s for me!) and they did not disappoint! The amount of effort, time and detail they put in to everything was incredible! It was a garden party/afternoon tea, with homemade cakes, scones, sandwiches, fruity teas, prosecco by the bucket full (obviously not for me), cloudy lemonade, cookies . . The list goes on! I honestly had the most amazing day and it was just so special to have all the people I love there! So I thought I would share some pictures with you all . . .

My sister spent days going to charity shops collecting the cutest tea cups, saucers and plates!

My amazing Mum. I posted this picture on my Facebook saying if me and my daughter even have half the relationship me & my Mum have I will be incredibly lucky! So there is just a few snaps from such a lovely day! We received so many gorgeous gifts & the whole day just got me more excited (if that’s possible) to meet our little girl in less than 8 weeks!

Your baby shower/ afternoon tea party looked super cute!!! You look incredible! I’m sure you will have that relationship/bond with your daughter because you’ve had it with your mum so it’ll come natural with your own. So so happy for you Emma. Lots of love
