There’s no denying that when you become a mother some days you solely rely on caffeine to get you through the day but it’s not always as simple as that. Sometimes managing to drink a hot cup of coffee can become a task in itself. There’s always something else to do, somewhere else to be or you just simply forget and it goes cold sat on the windowsill. That’s why now nap time = coffee time. I give myself 20 mins of doing absolutely nothing or watching my favourite show or painting my nails. No answering emails, no folding washing, no tidying the toys away, just 20 mins of peace and quiet. I know it might sound crazy if you’re not a parent but those moments are rare and whilst I love the craziness of raising a toddler we deserve a little bit of me time just as much as they deserve a nap!
I hate to admit it, because this is now my little luxury in the middle of a mundane weekday, I’ve become a bit of a coffee snob and the instant stuff just doesn’t cut the mustard anymore. We’ve been using the Breville One-Touch Coffee House for the past couple of weeks and I’m obsessed! I’ll be honest when we first got it out the box I thought how the hell am I going to get this machine and a half to function!? But truth be told the name doesn’t lie, it really is a one touch coffee house! If I can use it then anyone can! And it makes coffee house quality lattes, cappuccinos or espresso with just one button! It has a 19-bar professional-quality pump (literally feel like a fancy barista when I’m making it) to deliver a rich and flavourful coffee. Not only that but there is three thermal sensors which guarantee a consistent temperature throughout! And it FROTHS YOUR MILK FOR YOU!! I’m seriously impressed by it. I know there’s all the technical stuff which makes it an amazing coffee machine but the fact that it’s white and rose gold is what sold it to me, it’s beautiful!
A coffee machine like this is an investment without a doubt and would make an amazing Christmas present for a coffee fanatic! Out of curiosity I added up how much I’d saved in one week by not nipping to the coffee shop in work or grabbing a takeaway cup out and about in town and it was £17.50! I feel like I no longer need to ‘treat’ myself to nice coffee because I can get one at home that tastes just as good! If you want to read more about it you can check out the Breville One-Touch Coffee House on the their website. I’ve also had a look around for any post Black Friday offers and it’s currently half price for £150 (bargain!!) on the Currys website!
This post was kindly sponsored by Breville as I am working with them this year as one of their brand ambassadors but as always all words and opinions are my own.
